Farsi Matching Pairs Game app for iPhone and iPad

A Farsi/Persian language learning app for preschoolers, particularly relevant to those living outside of Iran.

This fun and colorful app helps preschoolers to learn key words in the Farsi learn language by playing a simple card matching game. The players are required to identify matching pairs of the same objects. Every time a card is turned over the object is spoken out loud.

A friendly cat guides the players through the game encouraging and congratulating them when they complete a topic. Studies have show that repetition is key to learning new words, through this app a child’s Farsi vocabulary is reinforced through playing rather than rote learning.

The game has been specifically designed to cater to the needs of Iranians growing up outside of Iran, although it can equally be enjoyed by those growing up in Iran. The illustrations look modern, bright and engaging, helping children to develop positive associations with Farsi learning.

In addition to teaching Farsi vocabulary, the game also celebrates aspects of Iranian culture, by including words related to Iranian foods, sweets and fruit. The aim behind the game is to integrate aspects of Iranian culture into the Farsi learning experience for children.

The app is simple and easy to understand for children who can easily navigate their was through the topics. Ideally, an adult would be present to play with a child and to help them repeat the words as they hear them, but the app can be played alone.

There are two levels to the game, one with 12 cards that is easier, and one with 16 cards. The are 10 topics in each level. The topics are: fruit, nature, the body and clothes, house, travel, numbers/colors, savory Iranian dishes, sweet Iranian foods and animals. In total there are 140 words to learn.

The beautiful illustrations and design were created by a team of award winning animators and illustrators. Even for adults wanting to Farsi, tourists or anyone learning Farsi, Fun Farsi is an amusing and engaging tool for learning Farsi.
